Melbourne has an abundance of beautiful patisserie shops everywhere and specialised stores that sell stunning desserts, but we got sick of driving to the city and inner suburbs and decided it was about time we had something special out this way in the Yarra Valley.  So – we went out and found the Yarra Valley’s most talented pastry chef and joined forces to bring you some special sweet treats.

We are now supplying to local cafes and restaurants every day of the week (except Sunday) and we also host our very own patisserie shop every Saturday morning from 9am til 1pm. Dreaming of those creamy, chocolate, velvet divine desserts now become reality and also save you a few miles too? We also do private orders for over $100. Get in touch today for a price list!

Meet our patisserie superstar…

Neisha Breen (right), the driving force behind our wonderful sweet creations!

A Yarra Valley local, Neisha trained in some of the Valley’s finest establishments. Neisha kicked off her trade as an all rounder chef, eventually finding her true passion on the sweeter side of life. From there Neisha learnt from some great pastry chefs and spent countless hours teaching herself how to create the smoothest cream patisseries, and the finest gateaux’s. When she’s not creating magic at Locavore Catering, Neisha along with her two adorable little girls Charlotte & Ava, and partner Alex, spend time cooking up a storm at home and enjoying their life’s wonderful blessings.

Mandarin and dark chocolate gateaux
Dark chocolate mousse, mandarin crème, vanilla daquoise and cocoa glaze.

Raspberry, coconut and milk chocolate gateaux
Milk chocolate mousse, raspberry crème and gel, coconut daquoise and brownie base.

Pistachio and vanilla bean gateaux
Pistachio mousse, vanilla Chantilly, jaconde sponge and daquoise.

Choux bun
Sable crusted choux bun filled with vanilla bean crème patisserie.

CWCM and passionfruit
Glazed caramelised white chocolate mousse with passionfruit curd and almond jaconde.

Earl grey, orange and honey.
Chocolate sprayed earl grey bavarious with honey orange gel and daquoise.

Lemon tart with toasted meringue.
Baked lemon tart, sable shell, toasted meringue and zingy raspberry.

Crunchy chocolate and hazelnut open meringue
Baked Meringue with dark chocolate buttons and roasted hazelnut

Carrot cake with passionfruit and vanilla cream
Carrot, walnut and current cake with whipped cream cheese infused with passionfruit pulp and vanilla (presented as mini loaves).

Dark Callebaut chocolate brownie
Dense Chocolate brownie with 72% dark callebaut chocolate, walnuts and white choc chips, milk chocolate ganache (presented as rectangle slices)

Various muffins
Vanilla base muffins with fillings of: raspberry and white chocolate, rhubarb and pear, double chocolate, blueberry and cinnamon. All topped with a streusel crumb. (presented as rustic baking paper lined muffins)

Gluten free almond and yoghurt cake
Almond and yoghurt cake baked with various winter fruits and topped with a pistachio and seed crumb (presented as cake slices)
